JetBackup Version 5.3.14 Release Notes

We are excited to announce the release of JetBackup v5.3.14 to the Release Tier. This HotFix release introduces critical bug fixes, resolves issues with database restoration, and improves the memory utilization in JB5. The release notes summarize the issues addressed in the update. Please note that “Base” features and bug fixes apply to all JetBackup versions.

• Add snapshot cleanup to “Queue” – #1896
• Redesigned the way JB5 utilize memory usage – #2006
• Fixed issue restoring databases with the same name but different DB servers – #2015
• Fixed error backing up “/” character in the database user file name – #2025
• Resolved issue restoring symlinks when restoring HomeDir – #2030
• Fixed restore issue on HomeDir items when merge option is disabled – #2039

• Resolve issue backing up/restoring DB users with non-local host hostnames- #190
• Corrected ownership of directory files in completed/partially completed restores- #192

• Resolve the issue restoring MYSQL 8 database users without password column – #85
• Fixed error restoring MySQL with GROUP BY clause – #86
• Fixed restore when updating subscription with “encrypted” passwd_type – #87
